Company · Our story

We set out to build better software. AI made the mission bigger.

Ashkar began with a group of engineers and product people who kept running into the same problem: the software that essential organizations depend on was slow, hard to use and built without its users in mind. This is how that frustration became a company, and where we are taking it next.

Better software, before anything else

Our story began in 2024 and 2025, among friends and colleagues working in different companies and industries. Project after project, we saw the same thing: organizations running their daily work on software that functioned, but was outdated, inefficient, hard to learn and plainly not designed for the people using it.

We believed those systems deserved better. Our first ambition had nothing to do with artificial intelligence. We wanted to build software that is reliable underneath, clear on the screen, and genuinely useful to both the people operating it and the organizations investing in it. Good software should make everyday work lighter and let people get things done naturally.

Then AI changed what software could do

Through 2024 and 2025, conversational AI, intelligent assistants and autonomous agents advanced at a remarkable pace, and the progress that continued into 2026 confirmed what we suspected: enterprise software was entering a period of real transformation. Better interfaces and better code were now only part of the answer.

What if a well-engineered application could also understand information, talk with people, automate the routine and carry out real business operations?

That question set our direction. We did not want to add AI to conventional software as an afterthought. We wanted AI to be a working part of everyday business processes: helping organizations modernize the systems they already have, take repetitive manual work off people’s desks, and make far better use of their information and resources.

From a shared idea to a company

Toward the end of 2025, we decided to take our vision beyond informal collaboration. Our first plan was a small studio, delivering development projects for a handful of clients. But the more we talked, and the clearer the opportunity became, the more we wanted something built to last: a company that develops its own products, keeps long-term relationships with its customers and competes beyond its home market.

We started working toward that in late 2025, and Ashkar was officially registered in Muscat, Oman, in January 2026, with one mission: to build modern, reliable and intelligent software for real business needs.

Learning where the stakes are high

Since then, we have worked with organizations in sectors that society relies on every day:

  • Electricity distribution
  • Water and wastewater
  • Telecommunications
  • Fiber-optic networks
  • Infrastructure operators

These organizations rarely need just an app. They need dependable databases, modern management platforms, intelligent assistants, integrated communication, and tools that connect information across departments that were never designed to work together. Working alongside them taught us what it takes to modernize complex operations without disrupting them.

One pattern stood out. Customer service and internal communication still depend heavily on people answering the same questions, looking up the same records and guiding callers through the same routine steps. AI agents can take on that routine work: answering inquiries, retrieving information, working inside connected systems and completing defined tasks. Services stay available, workloads fall, and people are free for the cases that need their experience and judgment.

Building products of our own

That experience turned into products of our own, each one born from a problem we had seen first-hand.

Najva

Voice agents that understand, decide and act.

Najva grew out of our work on communication systems. Its agents hold natural conversations, understand what a caller needs, pull information from connected systems and take authorized actions, then record the details in CRM, ERP and other business applications.

Ganjoor

Organizational knowledge, ready when it’s needed.

Valuable know-how sits scattered across documents, databases, departments and people, and leaves when experienced staff do. Ganjoor gives it structure, preserves it, and lets people find and apply it through AI-assisted search and answers.

Modaf

One clear picture of asset management maturity.

Modaf runs asset management assessments across every department of a distribution network, rolls the results up to companies and regions, and tracks the improvement roadmap that follows.

Where an organization needs more than integration, we also build the custom CRM platforms, management dashboards and business applications that our agents work alongside. Every product follows the same rule: technology should simplify operations, improve the quality of work and deliver value an organization can measure.

Built to travel

We never intended to build for a single industry or a single country. We started with Persian-speaking enterprises, and today we work with organizations across West Asia in Persian, Arabic and English. Najva and Ganjoor are now in use with organizations and companies in several of these markets.

Those first commercial relationships mark an important step in our growth as a product company. They show that our products adapt to different industries, requirements and business environments, and they shape what we build next: deeper capabilities in our existing products, and new applications wherever AI can make enterprise work faster, simpler and better.

The infrastructure behind intelligent applications

Running agents, conversational systems and AI-powered applications takes serious computing power. For most organizations, buying and operating dedicated AI infrastructure means high costs, technical complexity and a permanent operational burden.

We believe there is a better model. Our longer-term plan is to develop and operate shared AI infrastructure, together with infrastructure partners, that serves many organizations and applications at once. In that model, computing would be allocated where and when it is needed, instead of every organization buying its own. That would lower costs, put resources to fuller use, and give us direct control over the performance and reliability of our products.

  1. 01

    Intelligent software

Applications that understand, decide and act inside real business processes.

  2. 02

    Well-designed experiences

Interfaces people find clear, calm and efficient through a full working day.

  3. 03

    Efficient AI infrastructure

Our plan for shared computing that makes advanced AI affordable to run and reliable to depend on.

Bringing these three together is the foundation of the company we are building.

Where we are going

We started as a few people who believed enterprise software could be better. That belief has grown into a broader vision: software that is more intelligent, more accessible, more efficient and more useful. Today we build our own products, work with organizations in essential industries and are expanding across international markets. Our journey is still early, but our direction is clear.

Software organizations can rely on. Interfaces people enjoy using. Intelligent systems that genuinely improve how work gets done.

The future of enterprise technology is not about adding artificial intelligence to old applications. It is about rethinking how software is designed, how information is found, how organizations operate, and how intelligent systems work alongside people. That is the future we are building.
